"Elf brings Raymond love for Christmas - Good enough to read twice."
This book is two years old and I just read it for the
second time and enjoyed it just as much as I did the first
time. Raymond was raised with very little, if any love as
a child. Therefore as a grown man he is somewhat of a
recluse and knows the only one he can depend on is himself.
His sports talk radio show commands all his time and energy
and he is well known as somewhat of a scrooge around the
holidays. His tidy world comes tumbling down when an elf in
the form of a very beautiful woman appears right before his
eyes in the driving snow. Holly is sent to help Raymond find his heart before
Christmas and she soon discovers her task is going to be
quite demanding. She captivates him though, from her pointy
ears and quirky elf clothes to the icicles she uses to
secure her hair up and away from her neck. Raymond is
determined to not give an inch in this quest and Holly is
just as resolved to have her way, as her boss expects her
to succeed on this very special assignment. This magical story is not only romantic but extremely
entertaining. It has many humorous scenes as well, due to
the fact that Holly is only visible to Raymond. I can not
recommend this book enough! It is truly wonderful and if
you are not yet in the Christmas mood, you will be once you
read this fantastic book! This heartwarming story proves
that the power of love and Christmas spirit go hand in
hand. Elizabeth / December, 1999
