"Making more than candy is planned for this weekend"
Owner of Swanson Sweets was a family man and although he is
planning on selling his business, he wants assurance that
his company settles in worthy hands. His solution...
invite the 3 corporate heads and their spouses for a
weekend at his home and have them each develop their own
trade-mark candy.
Mailroom worker Abby McGardy seems to be the only woman in
the company who can resist the owner and CEO, C.K.
Tanner. When this is pointed out to him, Tanner thinks he
has found the perfect solution to his need for a temporary
wife. He learns of Abby's goal to open her own art school
and offers her a deal she cannot resist. As the weekend
progresses, she finds making more than candy is on Tanner's
mind.
Will their newly created treat, the "Abby Apple" lead them
to paradise or cause them to leave the garden of delights?
If she succumbs to temptation, what is in her future? Will
it be skyrockets and sweets or losing paradise and her
dreams when the weekend with Tanner ends? OK, I know it is
Tanner and Abby not Adam and Eve... but this is temptation
on a devilish scale.
I just love it when authors take a fairy tale and make it
adult (Sizzle!). I could definitely tell the influence of
WILLIE WONKA AND THE CHOCOLATE FACTORY when reading this
story. But, let me tell you, the CEO is definitely NOT
Willie. I don't know what had me drooling more, the
chocolate or the hero! This "sweet treat" of a read will
bring pleasure without the calories and remind you that you
don't have to be in the kitchen to get hot "making candy"
(and I can't believe I actually said something this
corny).
