"Charming Regency romance"

When her fiancé Neville Wyatt's vanished wife reappeared while Lauren Edgeworth was exchanging vows with him in front of their families and friends. Lauren handles the twist quite well as Wyatt returns to his wife, but is tired of the sad stares. She leaves Newbury Abbey to visit her pregnant aunt in London. However, Aunt Sadie wants Lauren happily married and plans to find the right husband for her. Meanwhile in Hyde Park, Lauren observes a shirtless aristocrat fighting with three thugs.

That lord, Viscount Christopher "Kit" Butler is bored with society and does not care what anyone thinks though this public battle is over the threesome mistreating a milkmaid. His parents summon Kit to the family home in Alvesley to inform him that he must marry and sire an heir.

Kit decides he needs a fiancée to fool his parents while Lauren agrees she too needs a fiancé to keep her aunt off her back. Kit and Lauren agree to pretend to be betrothed with the plan being she ends their relationship. However, love punctures the plan leaving both wanting the other forever, but doubting those feelings are shared.

A SUMMER TO REMEMBER is a charming Regency romance that entices the audience through the delightful lead couple. Though Neville is typical of the sub-genre, readers will find him likable as he adheres to a code of honor that adds depth to the usual hedonistic rake. Lauren seems sadder and wiser than when she was left at the alter in ONE NIGHT FOR LOVE. Together this couple provides a wonderful reading experience for the audience.
