"Bewitching Tale of Darkness, Destiny, and Triumph"
Salem, Mass. - Summer Solstice, June 1692 They had begun. The witch hunts. The darkness had infected
the people of the town, feeding on their superstitions and
puritanical zealousness. The first innocent had been
destroyed. More would follow, not one among them would be a
witch. The one called Fire had seen it all in a vision, and
knew that she and her sisters, the ones called Earth and
Air, witches all, would not be spared unless they acted on
this, the year's shortest night. And so they formed a
circle and conjured a haven. Rent asunder from the land
they'd loved, Three Sisters Island was born. But the darkness found them again, and one by one the three
failed the tests of courage, justice, and love, and were
vanquished. But before the last succumbed, she cast a spell
of protection over their beloved island, to protect her kin
for a century times three, at which time three daughters of
their blood would converge on this place, and once again
make a stand against the darkness, to win or lose it all. DANCE UPON THE AIR is the first book in the Three
Sisters
Island Trilogy. It is Nell Channing's story. The legend
tells the story of Air as follows: Air had fallen in love
helplessly in love with a man of charm, and a handsome face
which hid the beast within him. He could never accept what
she was. She could not find the courage to leave him. In
the end it had cost Air her life. This had started the
chain of events which had lead to the demise of the three
sisters. Nell was to be the first to ensure that history
did not repeat itself in a new generation. Three Sister's Island - June 2001 Though she was unaware of her heritage, Helen Remington (of
Air) had taken the first step in changing their fate. Three
years into her abusive marriage, Helen had realized that
her wealthy husband had meant his vow of 'til death do us
part. She had carefully faked her own death, and taking
little more than the clothes on her back, she had traveled
across country for eight months, to settle at last on this
remote island. Here she would make a new life for herself
as Nell Channing. She was still wary, but fate seemed to have brought her
here. Three Sister's Island was as different from Los
Angeles as a place could get. A painting she had seen on
the mainland had drawn her here. Mia Devlin (of Fire) had
felt the shift in power upon her arrival. Deputy Ripley
Todd (of Earth), another island native, had long since
forsaken her heritage. She was currently off island on
business, so Mia knew that their third had arrived. For
better or worse the fulfillment of the prophecy was at
hand. By lucky coincidence Mia's store, Café Book, was in
need of a chef, and Nell just happened to be a whiz in the
kitchen. She provided Nell with a job and a small cottage,
and soon began to instruct her on her heritage. Nell was
enchanted with her new abilities. What more could she want
out of life? She had a safe haven, a job, friends, and a
new way of life, which Sheriff Zack Todd was about to
complicate. Zack has begun to frequent Café Book, and its plain that
the handsome sheriff is interested in more than Nell's
spectacular cuisine. Zack was everything that Evan was not,
honorable, decent, and loving, but Nell could not afford to
let him into her life. She is still legally married and
must stay that way to insure her safety. Zack, however, is
tenacious. Todds fall in love once and forever, and he's
been hit hard. Little by little he wears down Nell's
resistance until she succumbs to his charm. She hadn't
planned on falling for him, or causing him unbearable pain
with her deception. Now the darkness has returned to
destroy their happiness, and Nell must find the courage to
face her demons and take a chance on love. Nell Channing's odyssey will inspire the reader. Though the
very thought of her husband paralyzes her with fear, she is
determined not to be a victim. She has too much to live
for. This place, and these people that she's come to love,
feed her power and resolve to end her nightmare once and
for all. If she succeeds the circle will hold, and it will
be up to a very resistant Ripley Todd to take the next
stand against their foe. You will find her story in book
two, HEAVEN AND EARTH. Sensational! Fans of Nora's DONOVAN LEGACY will be thrilled
with this new, full length, hereditary witch series. Though
their Craft is an integral part of what they are, the
heroines are multifaceted individuals and are portrayed as
such. Magick is not a simple solution to their woes, and
their challenges test their depth of character thoroughly.
The heroes are remarkable men who do not stand idly by and
let the women they love face their demons alone. However
they are confident enough to let them do what they have to
do. The reader will run the gamut of emotions as
each "sister" faces the darkness to protect and save all
that they love. Copyright © 2002
