"The fate of the Liambrian people rests upon Otas and Cwen establishing a great love"

At nineteen, Cwen's life has been spent isolated and devoted to constant training and education in the 1990's. An act of rebellion brings a crisis and she suddenly finds all her training has not prepared her for the expectations for her future. Cwen learns she not only belongs to a race called Liambrians that have been living in secret among humans, but she was married at birth to Otas, the Overlord and coveted by Maccus, Otas' evil twin. For her safety, Cwen is sent two thousand years from all she has known -- to Otas.

The fate of the Liambrian people rests upon Otas and Cwen establishing a great love. This will be difficult as Otas has been brought up to shun emotion and remain isolated because of the demands of leadership. He consummates their marriage with no thought or understanding of her feelings or expectations. What follows is the story of their growing relationship and the fight for survival of the Liambrian people. As their dedication to the future of their people and each other evolve, Otas and Cwen's personalities blossom. Cwen finds her powers received upon their joining equal to those of Otas and she learns how to control them.

Some readers may have difficulty with the beginning of Cwen and Otas' marriage as it is a near-rape scene (with his powers he couldn't do it better?) but it illustrates Otas' lack of understanding and feelings. These develop as his view of himself and others around him change because of Cwen's influence. The reader sees the reality of the change in Otas' emotions when Cwen is in a riding accident.

Otas and Cwen find their enemy is not only Maccus, but others within their ranks with their own agenda and desire for power. The explanations of their culture and past events are cleverly woven into the tale making for an easy to follow story line. Difficult decisions are made and the remnants of the Liambrians are prepared to meet their destiny.

This is a very professionally done self-published story which combines science fiction with fantasy, time-travel and romance. Although fast-paced and easily able to keep reader's attention, there are several areas that could be smoother with a bit of editing. Even so, the writing style is engaging and the talent of the author presenting the tale leads reader through time and space eagerly anticipating the next plot twist and development.

SUMMARY

Cwen has the Gift, a host of extrasensory capabilities, but she doesn't know how to control them. One night she becomes angry with her aunt for not giving her revelations about who she really is. Cwen runs away, carrying a Ka- bar, because Vlad had taught her never to go out unarmed.

Fascinated by the sights and sounds of being outside the stuffy mansion, Cwen is careless. She is attacked by three beings that look like earthlings, but are in fact beings from another galaxy. Their purpose is to kidnap Cwen for their evil leader, Maccus. She becomes aware of her doom if she doesn't escape. Before the Trexrans can take her away, Vlad teleports to the alley where Cwen is being held and rescues her.

Back at the mansion, her Aunt Amma tells her that she is being hunted by a beast from another galaxy. Meaning Maccus, who is powerful with the Gift and wants Cwen as his Queen to create a master race of super beings with extrasensory capabilities. The only choice is to send Cwen far away from this threat. Aunt Amma and Vlad send Cwen far into the future, to the year 4010, where the inhabitants live like the folks of the middle ages following an upheaval of the Earth in the year 2010.

Fatigue from time travel prevents Cwen from asking her mother all of the questions raging in her head. She goes to sleep for the night. But that night is not without surprises. Cwen looses her virginity to a huge male, called Otas, who is powerful with Gift and the Overlord of a race a beings called Liambrians. Afterwards, Otas informs Cwen he is her husband. Before this new knowledge can sink in, Otas uses the Gift to put Cwen to sleep.

The next morning, rage rushes through Cwen. Sevea tries to quell that anger by telling Cwen she isn't an Earthling. She is Liambrian as well. The Liambrians are in exile on Earth, trying to hide from the Trexrans and Maccus. His plan to use the Liambrians to create a master race must be avoided at all cost...
