REVIEW

"unusual plot and enjoyable aliens in futuristic romance"

This is a futuristic romance. The heroine is a dream weaver and one of a race that is known for their sensuality. They eventually mate body and soul with one man forever. The heroine has never felt an attraction to any man until the hero barges into her life demanding she help him find his friend. She has a crystal bed she uses for dream sharing. They jointly go into a mind dream, looking for his friend and while there are attacked by some kind of alien creatures. When they escape the dream, the heroine is unconscious and the hero kidnaps her and takes her to his planet.

The hero's planet has been kept a secret to prevent it from alien contamination. After the heroine finds where she is, the hero decides there is no choice but to keep her a prisoner there. It is hard to understand the hero's total inflexibility toward contacting other races and his prejudice against aliens. He is very much a hard-headed Scots. While attracted to the heroine, he continues to resist her and punish (with housework, ugh!) her attempts to escape and warn others of these aliens. You eventually find out a lot of secrets and reason which make you understand him more.

I really liked the heroine (and at first the hero) and the unusual plot but was disappointed in the romance. The hero resisted the heroine way too long and as soon as they finally get together, there is a big misunderstanding. He makes it up to her in the end and I will look forward to the next book. CRYSTAL DREAMS had lots of promise but I like my H/H together and in love more that this book allowed. I really expected it more because of her alien makeup. She did have green hair at the beginning which was different [grin].

SUMMARY

In the cold depths of space, an enemy is lurking and a love is destined to burn brighter than the stars ... Can two deeply sensual, but seemingly mis-matched lovers overcome their mistrust to defeat an enemy that vows to destroy them...

He is Connal MacArran, a Caledonian chieftain, honor bound to protect his world, but duty forces him into the arms and dreams of a green-haired alien witch.

She is Liandra Tavor, an Asarian dreamweaver. Despite the legendary sensuality of her kind, she has never experienced the love call until she dreamshares with Connal on her crystal bed.
From that moment their passion is unleashed.

Connal's mission was simple: use Liandra's famed powers to locate his missing kinsman and leave her as quickly as he could, but he did not count on the ability of one woman to destroy his plans. Forced to save her life by abducting her to his world, he must face the wrath of his clan, while battling the allure of his beautiful captive. Liandra is determined to be free of Connal, for though he is a barbarian, he ignites her soul as no other.

Neither of them dare acknowledge the fierce attraction they have for each other. But a love that is destined to be cannot be denied for long ...
