"Left me believing in the power of love and the strength of lovemaking"
This is an erotic, extremely sensual, and very adult
collection of romance novellas. At risk of sounding
cliched, it put me more in touch with my femininity. I
finished it believing in the power of love and the strength
of lovemaking. "Flint's Fuse" by Sandy Fraser
This is a story of a man and woman and the passion that
they find as he does his job and she learns to let him.
Dana needs to be out of the way and so her father, Madison,
hires Flint to play kidnapper. Flint, hardened from years
of service to Madison, feels that nothing can touch him.
Dana, much the same in her position of powerful man's
daughter, feels untouchable and powerful to the extreme.
When they come together the sparks fly as they both learn
to give, take, and love. I was sad to learn that Ms. Fraser passed on. I enjoyed
Flint's Fuse. "Love's Prisoner" by Mary Janice Davidson
Oh lordy, werewolves! Werewolves and romance, who could ask
for more! Jeannie Lawrence finds herself stuck in an
elevator with a desperate stranger. Desperate because it is
the night of the full moon. The stranger turns out to be the wealthier than God,
Michael Wyndham. Turns out our boy Michael is not only a
werewolf but the head werewolf and Jeannie is his mate for
life. She just has to get used to the idea. The passion in
this story is intense. "The Educations of Miss Felicity Wells" by Alice
Gaines
I rather liked the idea offered up here of an innocent
being taught by an experienced man. It has been a while and
memory can benefit from a kick in the pants now and again. Set in my favorite historical romance period, Alice Gaines'
tale offers up a familiar sounding rake, Dr. Marcus Slade,
who is hired as a tutor by Miss Wells . Felicity wants to
be proficient in knowledge of the marital arts in order to
best please her future husband. She does not wish to be
deflowered but instead empowered, given the tools for her
future. The end result depends on who is teaching whom. "A Candidate for the Kiss" by Angela Knight
2000 P.E.A.R.L. AWARD WINNER: Short Story
If only it had been me. I thought LOVE'S PRISONER [SECRETS
3] had my passion running hot but I didn't know what hot
was until I had a taste of A CANDIDATE FOR THE KISS. Hot blood and cold calculations. Imagine for yourself your
favorite Bond movie actor and then place yourself in the
position of catching him grabbing a bite...out of a
criminal's neck. That is where reporter Dana Ivory finds
herself when, in pursuit of a fast lead and perched in a
tree, she catch's Federal agent Archer. It seems that
vampires are not news to our government. Archer has been
around for a long time defending both god and country.
Circumstance steps in to reveal kisses mean more than
passion. Dana and Archer will both discover their own
personal definition. Leann "Buzzy" Arndt /December, 2000
