REVIEW

"This might be one of the most popular paranormal series in the 21st century."

The Danask Circle is a coalition of beings with magic who hunt down evil beings of their kind. Jon, a shapeshifter who turns into a hawk at will has come to Tauron Bay to find out why so many teens have mysteriously vanished. Within two hours of his arrival, he is shot with an arrow and falls into a well. Jon astral self is sent to Maddie Smith, a woman who at first believes he's a figment of her imagination. When her nephew disappears, Maddie is convinced that Jon Barnell is real and she goes to rescue him. She believes he is the key to finding her nephew and though she is right, Jon puts them both in danger trying to track the evil beings kidnapping the children connected to Tauron Bay. During their hunt, they fall in love with each other but Jon is afraid that his dangerous job will prevent them from forming a permanent relationship.

CIRCLE OF FIRE is an exciting paranormal romance starring two characters that are easy to like and admire. This work is the first in a new series starring at least one member of the Danask Circle. If this book is a true example, this might be one of the most popular paranormal series in the twenty-first century.

SUMMARY

Sixteen teenagers taken from their homes. Eleven bodies recovered, each completely drained of blood. Some believe vampires are responsible, but Jon Barnett knows it's something far worse. To stop the killers in Taurin Bay, he becomes enmeshed in a web of black magic and realizes he needs help. But fate gives him only one choice in the form of recluse Madeline Smith.

Madeline Smith has retreated to an isolated farmhouse, afraid of the psychic abilities she can't control—abilities that have killed. But when "ghost" Jon Barnett brings a warning of danger and her nephew disappears, Maddie has to leave her haven. She also has to learn to control the abilities she fears and place her trust in Jon Barnett, a man who is neither human nor ghost.

But as the search for the teenagers becomes a race against time, and the noose of sorcery threatens to kill Maddie and Jon, the greatest danger to them both could be the feelings they have for each other—feelings that they refuse to acknowledge.
