REVIEW

"A Mixed Bag of Short Stories"

Just finished Captivated the anthology with Beatrice Small, Susan Johnson, Thea Devine and Robins Schone. The story by Schone "A Lady's Pleasure" was by far the best.

"Bound and Determined" by Susan Johnson was o.k., but "Dark Desires" by Thea Devine is a little hard to take. I won't go into details.

Beatrice Small's "Ecstasy" could be considered paranormal fantasy since it concerns a race of women who keep their men subjugated. Dagon is sold into slavery and is bought by this female tribe because of his large appendage, if you know what I mean. There are several things wrong with this; slavery to begin with and why would anyone want to keep men or women as second class citizens? Their sons are sold off at the age of 16 as warriors. A nice group of women that I wouldn't want to be around.
