"Wonderful Paranormal Scottish Historical"
I just finished reading a good book from a few years ago
that has paranormal elements -- CATRIONA by Jeanette
Baker. I had heard raves about Baker as a writer, and she
*is* wonderful! I couldn't resist this one because I love
paranormals AND Scottish history. The heroine, Kate,
has "the Sight," and she has been having dreams/flashes
about a woman who lived in 15th Century Scotland who looks
just like her. She travels to Scotland to find out about
her ancestors & finds herself being able to "tune into" the
life of this woman - Catriona - in the 15th Century. In
order for Kate to live a full, connected life in the
present, she must take care of the past by helping Catriona
and by discovering her own family roots. There are also actually two love stories -- Catriona's in
the past and one for Kate in the present. I'm not doing the book justice with my description, but I
would definitely recommend it, and I look forward to
reading the other Baker books I was able to find. Karen Witkowski Copyright © May, 2000
