Prince Morgan Fontinara left Bellarius to help organize and
launch a rebellion against the Jotnar Alliance. He was
betrayed and captured. When ransom was refused and torture
did not provide them with the rebels' plans, they sent him
to the prison colony and their most heartless interrogator,
Commander Pavel Grader Ariana Zoltan, as oldest child was required to work for the
Jotnar and had been assigned as Administrator to Cantara's
slave mines. She hated slavery but if her second in
command, Grader took over her job, the slave death rate
would be even worse. She had no choice but to do her job
while protecting those she could. With the arrival of the
newest prisoner, Morgan, she felt even more of a conflict.
When she found that Grader had nearly killed him during
interrogation, she had little choice... to save Morgan's
life she had to claim him as her personal slave. During her care while saving Morgan, they have bonded
mentally and psychologically. Neither wishes to admit that
this is because they are in love, as they cannot trust each
other. Morgan knows the rebellion will begin within weeks
and he must use Ariana to help the slaves escape. His
methods jeopardize her efforts to save him and help him
escape and in her frustration, she builds his distrust. Drake is a close friend of Morgan's and is known as the
Magician. With Drake and others to help, Morgan and Ariana
survive the rebellion, but can they overcome their pasts to
build a live together? This action-packed adventure is full of a variety of alien
inhabitants, an exciting battle between good and evil and
some hot romance between Morgan and Ariana. The
misunderstandings between them are overcome as their trust
grows but neither believes that is possible to share a life
together. If you enjoy futuristic romance or Sci-fi adventure, this
book should be on your 'must read' list. I am happy to
hear that Drake's story will be the sequel to this story in
