"A love that crosses all barriers."
A RHYTHM DEVINE deals with the love of a younger man and an
older woman. Maggie is a 43-year-old widow with three
children; Sean a 29-year-old man who was prepared to settle
into a loveless marriage to avoid being hurt by love. They
meet at a party and the sparks fly instantaneously, however
Maggie is afraid of her feelings and runs away. Sean is
determined that he will have this woman, despite the
difference in their ages. He follows Maggie to her ranch
and renting one of the cabins on her dude ranch, proceeds
to do his best to seduce her. Despite all of Maggie's arguments, her family and friends
like him and she is very much attracted to him. She finally
succumbs to Sean's attractions but because of a guests'
jealousy, she learns of Sean's imminent engagement to
another woman and is devastated. Sean leaves the ranch
believing Maggie will never have anything to do with him
again. Maggie later discovers she is expecting his child
but decides not to tell him, thinking she was just a
conquest to him. Sean decides to go through with his plans
to marry but he changes his mind in the nick of time. With
the help of Maggie's daughter, he finds out Maggie is
expecting his child. Delighted and hoping he still has a
chance with Maggie, he rushes to her side and declares his
love just in time to see his twin children being born. This was a wonderful love story set apart from the usual
romance by showing that age does not matter when it comes
to love. Sean was looking for someone to show him that a
forever kind of love exists. Maggie had already experienced
that kind of love and could not believe that she could have
that love twice in a lifetime. Together, their love
conquered both their fears and showed them that they could
have a lifetime of happiness. A RHYTHM DEVINE by Judy Mays captivates your interest from
the very start. The chemistry between the two characters is
electric and comes alive for the readers to experience for
themselves. You will cheer for Sean and Maggie from the
very start and rejoice when they find their way back to
each other's hearts forever! A RHYTHM DEVINE left me with a
happy feeling that stayed for a long time after the last
page was turned. I would gladly read any other book by this
author and recommend this book to any reader! Carol Wilson © Copyright April 2002
