"An original mix of Pern/ lost colony and a druid/rowan"
I read LAST HOPE yesterday and I liked the story... yet the
romance was not developed as well as the overall storyline.
The focal relationship (Arkana/Connall) seemed weak in
comparison to the secondary lovelife going on with the
naughty scheming "want to control the world" courtesan and
her side-kick the lazy lord (almost of the Regency England
ilk). I think there is a book in the subplot: hooker
turned colony governor. While reading, I felt like the story was a mix of Pern (the
intelligent dragons) and a druid/rowan (talking god/trees)
and a type of lost colony. It was enough to make me laugh
and keep my interest. Paula Su © Copyright January 2002 for ParaNormal Romance
