"Engaging contemporary romance"
In Door County, Wisconsin off of Lake Michigan, Tracy
Richards is bored of her wealthy father's latest party.
Her dad enjoys parading single males her age at his
summer "palace" shindigs. None turn her on. This time she
escapes to the beach where she meets Jogger Paul Sanders. Her friends insist Tracy pursue the hunk and form the
Manhunters Club to assist each one in capturing their
intended. Paul had run on this beach to see if he could
sell his advertising firm, The Word, Inc to self-made
millionaire Derek Richards of fruit fame. However, Paul
finds his goal destroyed after the beach encounter forcing
a revision of his strategic plan when he cannot resist the
lure of Tracy. As they fall in love, he wonders how she
will react when he tells her why he was running on the
beach? HOT ON HIS HEELS is an engaging contemporary romance
starring two charming lead characters. The story line is
fun though the "conflict" between the lead couple seems
minimal. The tale engages readers because Tracy and Paul
are made for each other and the support cast enhances that
feeling. Isabel Sharpe provides a fine opening Manhunter
Club tale that will leave readers sharpening their appetite
for the remaining tales (see May Duets). Harriet Klausner
