"Serio-comic dark romance and unusual kind of mystery"
It may be 1998 to most people, but detective Teo Domingos
still is fighting the war in Vietnam. He is a stick of
dynamite ready to explode and everyone from his family to
his co-workers sees it. When Teo loses it on his latest
case that his partner believes is suicide yet he believes
is murder, his boss puts him out on a disability pension. Ellie Holmgen knows that Teo's suspicions are correct
because her sister Alice confessed to her that she murdered
her abusive spouse. Even though Teo is off the force, he
puts the two suspects under surveillance but before to long
he realizes he's more interested in Ellie than solving a
crime. Both Teo and Ellie have a lot to resolve, separately
and together if they want to make a life together. THE END OF MARRIAGE is a serio-comic dark romance and
unusual kind of mystery all wrapped up in one delicious
novel. Although there is a murder committed in this tale,
the focus is on families and it strains and secrets. Nina
Vida has written a very creative and enjoyable novel that
will appeal to mainstream and genre fans. Harriet Klausner
