Individual stories of four sisters rebuilding their life
after the US Civil war on land that is an inheritance from

responsibilities but finds himself drawn to this stubborn

Christy was broken. Now that she is marrying age, she has
set her sites on winning her man. Jake has already been
burned by one McQuarry woman and has no intention of
getting mixed up with another even if he does need the
lumber on her land to stay in business. Soon he sees that

is love? Megan has dreams that do not involve staying in Primrose
