"Wonderful! A mesmerizing time travel romance."
When The Lilacs Boom enchanted me. I read it from start to
finish. A romantic read reminiscent of film from
Hollywood's golden era. Emily Foster returns to the old Victorian home where she
grew up. Still replete with memories as well as the tales
of star-crossed lovers Nicholas and Elinor, it draws her
into near constant thoughts of the ill fated pair.
Eventually those thoughts lead her back to their time of
1897 where she finds herself in the body of her ancestor
Elinor. Later, she returns to her own time only to realize
that she must return in order to save the lovers' lives.
This was wonderful. I cannot recall the last time I was so
mesmerized. Leann "Buzzy" Arndt / May, 2000
