"The incredible scenes came alive along with Valerie and Jack"
NIGHT SECRETS is a delightful book revolving around
the
Northern Lights. Ms. Perkin's ability to make a scene come
to life is incredible. I felt as if I was walking the
trails of Aurora lodge, swinging from the Tarzan vine and
swimming in the lake. Her descriptions of the Canadian
landscape is breath taking and beautiful. Ms. Perkin brings to life to Valerie Scott a strong woman
who has been touched by abuse. The way she handles this
abuse and the lasting effects of it made her believable.
Her love for her deceased uncle was very apparent and
touching. Her frustration with the things going on around
her that she had little or no control over showed her to be
a well rounded person. Jack Wilder is a tortured soul
neither alive nor dead who appears and disappears based on
the intensity of the Northern Lights. He is shocked and
saddened to find that his only friend and contact with
reality has died during his last disappearance. He finds
himself falling in love with and wanting to protect Valerie
even knowing he might never get the chance to should he
vanish again. The interaction between the characters in this book is real
and sweet. I was impressed to find my self-laughing out
loud and at times crying while reading this book. Ms
Perkin's descriptions for the Northern Lights and the
science behind it made me want to see them for myself. ParaNormal Romance Reviews © Copyright 2002
