"Enchanting Time Travel will tug at your Heartstrings"
Alenna Carstairs is trying to keep a broken heart, and
inexplicable panic attacks, at bay by immersing herself in
an amateur archeological project at a castle in Scotland.
She attributes a deep sense of foreboding to a recent
disastrous romantic relationship... not the fact that she's
about to be tossed back in time six hundred years or so.
But tossed back she is, to 1318, only to land in the arms
of the 'braw' Tynan of MacBrahin. Total understandable
disbelief follows. She can't possibly have gone back in
time; it's a joke. She's stumbled into the middle of an
historic recreation. She's hallucinating. But the handsome
Tynan is far too real, and far too decidedly sexy... even
if his blankets are rather stinky fur throws. Author Agnew weaves a well paced and fun romantic time
travel tale laced with well-placed -- and well-researched--
humor in this tale of a modern day woman who finds herself
in barbaric Scotland. Alenna is spunky, sassy and confused
by the customs of 14th century. Tynan is virile and
masculine... and confused by a woman from the 20th century.
He wants to protect her. She doesn't need his protection.
He no more understands what she's about than she
understands what it's like to be a woman in 1318. But both
fully understand what it's like to fall in love, and be
hurt. Both Tynan and Alenna harbor hearts broken from past
relationships. Both need to learn to trust and love again.
Of course, just as they start to, Agnew throws into the mix
an evil baron to whom Tynan has sworn allegiance. But now
this baron wants to claim Alenna for his bed. Tynan must
risk all if he loves Alenna, a woman he knows belongs
neither to his time, nor himself. An enchanting story with well-written characters who will
tug at your heartstrings, BRIDGE THROUGH THE MIST
will completely transport you to Scotland in the year 1318
with the turn of a page. Just beware: there are many 'braw'
men in that castle, and Agnew's Tynan of MacBrahin is one
who will fill your dreams for many a night. Stinky fur
blankets and all. Linnea
