"Great romance"
After a torrid affair, US Navy Seal Commander Sam
McKade leaves behind Annie O'Toole to deliver information
that will catch a traitor. For Sam doing his duty has
always been easy until now. He always wondered how
someone
could betray his or her nation, but even Sam struggles to
leave Annie to do his job. However, before Sam can complete his mission, he takes
a heroic side trip and rescues some children, but is
injured in the endeavor suffering amnesia. His impatient
superiors decide to hide Sam in the Summerwind Resort
while
he recuperates and recovers his memory. Employed at the
spa, Annie becomes his physical therapist, but must remain
silent about their previous beach romance. As Annie and
her patient fall in love all over again, a traitor plans
to
kill Sam and Annie if she gets in the way. Like this reviewer, readers will say if memory is
correct that the use of amnesia has seen googol
deployments
in books. However, Christina Skye makes her two-lead
characters feel human so that the audience believes the
story line is fresh and the memory loss real. The plot is
filled with action and a strong cast enabling fans of
romantic suspense to forget the numerous previous amnesiac
tales because MY SPY will head towards the top of the list. Harriet Klausner
