"...a hot little vignette..."

South of the Border is more of a 'slice of life' than a story as Gabriel and Antonio share a private moment in the hot tub. For those who aren't familiar with the characters they featured in the novel Mexican Heat, co- authored by Laura Baumbach and Josh Lanyon.

This was a hot little vignette and you don't have to have read the novel to appreciate it. However, after reading it I'm sure you'll want to seek out the longer book to spend more time with these guys. As the description says, it doesn't quite fit in the storyline of Mexican Heat but to me this didn't matter. I loved re-visiting these guys and I hope that Laura Baumbach decides to continue their tale.

Blind ex-SFPD detective Gabriel Sandilin1 has a problem with his lover.

AUTHOR NOTE: This short story, first published in 2007, was the inspiration for the CRIMES & COCKTAILS Series. Portions of the story as you read here don't fit the eventual storyline that evolved when the series became a collaboration with mystery writer Josh Lanyon, but it's still a hot tale of wet fun.
