"a charming re-telling of the story of the Titanic"

Con man James Hyde had found himself on the wrong side of law one time too many when he acquired a ticket for the ship that was going to answer all of his dreams. A luxury liner, that would take him far away from the long reach of the police on his tail and provide him with rich pickings to fund his new life in America. It would also provide him with an unexpected attraction, a powerful desire that would make him want to be a better man. Will is heading for a new life with his fiancée, fulfilling the expectations of his family and his standing in society. He can't afford to give in to longings he had long since buried. As the men sailed away from England they had no idea that their ship of dreams was doomed to become a nightmare.

Ship of Dreams was a charming re-telling of the story of the Titanic with two men playing the fated lovers. I feared that this book would be too much like the blockbuster movie or have an ending that left a bitter taste in my mouth the way that the big budget classic did. But I was rewarded for taking the chance on the story with a lovely romantic historical with an ending that put Leo and Kate to shame. Were there similarities to the movie? Yes there definitely were, but I found I really enjoyed it despite that.

An attraction fated to go down in history…if they survive.

Liar. Thief. Con man. James Hyde keeps these labels well hidden under the veneer of a high-class gambler. He knows how to charm his way to where the money is, and right now it’s aboard the world’s must luxurious ship, ripe for the taking. From the moment he locks eyes with Will Woods, though, James is tempted. Tempted, for once, to be the kind of man that another can trust with his heart.

Will is sailing toward everything he’s ever wanted: marriage and family. His instant attraction to James is a complete surprise—and too powerful to ignore. In his arms, Will rediscovers passion he’s kept long buried. And it tempts him to abandon the safety of wealth and position. Perhaps even his family’s good graces. All for James—a man who is only now beginning to understand the meaning of honor.

Then there’s the last obstacle standing in their way. Their ship of dreams…is the Titanic.

Contains explicit m/m sex in darkrooms, staterooms and steam rooms. Cameo appearance by a large, threatening iceberg.
