"Steamy Valkyrie and Vampire Romance"
Brandi is a Valkyrie in training, the daughter of the Norse
God Thor, who is not all that happy with her and her
brother Jett. At Jett's wedding to his fiancée Sophia,
Brandi meets up with the Master Vampire Laurent, who once
thought himself to be in love with Sophia. Brandi is not
interested in being a second choice love interest, or being
with a vampire, and lets Laurent know of her disinterest.
Laurent keeps pursuing Brandi, to the point that she
figures being with a vampire is not too bad, until Laurent
makes a mistake that will cause Brandi to lose her life. This story is third in a series, there is a note before the
story begins that Dirty Valkyrie should be read
after Dirty Dancer and Dirty Deed. Maybe I should have read
those first, I might have liked this story more. I have
read other stories from this author that I enjoyed, so I
was looking forward to this one. It was an ok short story.
I read the synopsis and it sounded very interesting, but
the action and danger in the story does not start happening
till the story is more than half over, and when it does, it
is kind of a let down. The way that Brandi is in danger
from Laurent, I have read something similar in another
story. And the ending seemed super rushed. I am not sure I
would recommend this story to others, but I am going to go
back and find Dirty Dancer and Dirty Deed to read, perhaps
I will change my mind after reading those.
