"Sink your teeth into this superb vampire novel!"
Piper is not your average person. When she was in the third
grade her mother was murdered. Now, at the age of twenty-
four, she works at the Dark Hills Police Department in
Oregon helping find missing people and track down serial
killers using her special "powers". All she has to do is
touch someone or their things and she can see their
memories. When Bennett Slade, a vampire, seeks out Piper's
assistance to help him find his missing daughter of five
years, she is hesitant to agree, thinking too much time has
passed and her powers would no longer work on this case.
That is, until she gets a visit through her dreams from his
daughter, pleading for her help-and it doesn't hurt that
Slade has major sex appeal. Only Piper has the ability to
find and save her, but will she be able to succeed is the
question. PIPER'S FURY was full of suspense, and passion. I LOVED
every second of it! Rachel Firasek captures the reader's
attention from the very start. There was the perfect blend
of suspense, romance, and mild violence in this paranormal
world. The mix of demons and gypsies really put a new and
unique spin on this vampire novel, making it its own.
Rachel Firasek portrays the vampires much differently than
any other vampire book I have ever read, which was a nice
change. She did not focus the whole story on vampires, but
rather it was just a small detail that added to the story. The different characters played a significant part in
developing the story line. Each character in the book holds
a secret that really brings the story together in a
suspenseful manner. The relationship between Piper and
Slade keeps the novel steamy, while the search to find
Slade's daughter, Evelyn, keeps the reader on edge. I would have to say Rachael Firasek did a fantastic job
with this novel! By the end of the book I was craving for
more! I would highly recommend this book and am hoping
Rachel Firasek is writing a sequel to this book to sink my
teeth into.

It's an empath thing... Using your "powers" to help the Dark Hills Police Department hunt down serial killers doesn't leave much time for dating. Not that Piper Anast is complaining. The last thing she needs is some guy brushing up against her and pumping his pornographic thoughts into her head. When she meets Bennett Slade, a sexy, tormented vampire, Piper stumbles headlong into a telepathic connection with his missing daughter. She can't leave the kid to the evil surrounding her unwanted visions, nor can she resist her draw to Slade. He's the first guy she's been able to touch vision-free in, well, forever. As she and Slade close in on the evil creature holding his daughter, Piper's powers morph into a deadly fury. To save Slade's daughter-and herself-Piper must face down demons she never knew she had and trust the one thing she keeps from everyone. Her heart.
