"a sexy paranormal and a promising new series"
I enjoyed reviewing "Fallen" and getting to know the
characters Karen Erickson created. While I love paranormal
romance I haven't read anything with angels so this was an
exciting change. Gabriel is a true protector and Jordan has
a sweet innocence layered over a determination to survive. Once, Jordan enters the Tattoo Voodoo shop the passion
between her and Gabriel, the tattoo artist, sizzles. Gabe
works with his best friends Darla and Ryder who are more
like sister and brother. Although Gabe doesn't remember
his past as a guardian angel or his connection to Jordan he
can't deny his attraction and growing feelings for her. She
brings to life tender and protective feelings he didn't
realize he possessed. Gabe wants to deny the attraction but
then Darla, guided by her visions, informs him that to
remain on earth he must fight the evil hunting Jordan. Before Jordan and Gabe can discover what is between them, a
messenger approaches Jordan and demands that she speak to
her mother, now imprisoned for nearly killing Jordan.
Jordan does not want to face her mother's evil. She refuses
and it's not until the messenger threatens Gabe's life that
she concedes. Jordan, Gabe, Darla and Ryder travel to the
prison to confront the mother knowing they are on the verge
of a deadly battle. From the moment I was introduced to the characters I wanted
to know what motivated Jordan's mother to such evil
actions, what battle does Gabe have to fight and will he
remain on earth? The author did a wonderful job conveying
the characters emotions so I was invested in the outcome.
I'm fairly certain from the way the book ended Darla and
Ryder will have their own stories. I can't wait to read
more on these fallen angels. Reviewed by: Jenna Storm, author
