"A magical fantasy tale!"
After the death of his parents, Elijah—Eli—Hawke went to
live with his grandmother, along with his Guardians Selena
and Cleo. When his grandmother is killed as the result of
his misuse of his magical abilities, Eli is devastated and
falls into a major depression. Just before he falls too
deep into the depression, Eli manages to cast a spell. See,
Eli is the reincarnation of Master Magician Raven and the
spell he cast causes Raven to inhabit his body as the
dominant personality. Now Raven is in the body of a child
and has to help Eli cope with the loss of his grandmother.
Through all kinds of adventures and misadventures, Raven
eventually manages to get through to Eli until the child
becomes the dominant personality. Once Eli is back, the
main mission becomes finding Eli's twin. One of their team goes to Canada and does manage to find
the girl they believe is Eli's twin. Now they have to
uproot Eli once more to move to Canada, which just happens
to be one of the places Raven lived. Somehow they will have to become well enough established to
arrange a meeting with Eli's twin. However, someone is
after Eli and he ends up being attacked. Only with the help
of the Guardians is Eli saved. Is the little girl really Eli's twin? Who is after Eli?
Will they be able to keep Eli safe? Will Eli find any other
family? RAVEN'S CHILD is a truly wonderful fantasy story. M.J.
Spickett writes a tale full of magic and wonder. The fact
we have an adult living in a child's body just adds an
interesting twist to this story. I really enjoyed all the
secondary characters in this story, especially the
Guardians. And all the different things Eli does and causes
to be done, like falling in the freezing river while
fishing, add a lot to this story. An enjoyable story I
highly recommend to all lovers of magic and fantasy.
