"Very real and exciting read"
This book really disturbed me. Not in a bad way, but made
me a little more aware of the kinds of people that are out
there. Ms. Cassidy has shed light on a young girl, Mariah who was
attacked by a man and raped. Then after sixteen years, she
comes back to the same town to settle her father's estate
after he passed away; but now with her daughter, Kelsey in
tow. Things seem okay as she gets there and gets
reacquainted with people that she once knew. Even as she
thinks she may have been able to face her past, it seems to
haunt her dreams. But her boyfriend and daughter are there
to help her through it. Will the past come back to haunt
her? I give this book two thumbs up as she has created a world
like ours -- in fact, it is very much like our world. It has
all the chills and suspense that one would look for in a
book, definitely stays with you. One suggestion is not to
read this one alone on a dark and stormy night.
