"Addictive Third installment of the Chicagoland Vampires Series"
Merit has finally adjusted to being a vampire. And as
Sentinel for Cadogan House it is her job to defend and
guard all things Gadogan. She continues her training,
needing more practice with sparring. Things heat up between
Merit and Ethan Sullivan, master of Cadogen House, when he
offers to teach her. When shifters come to town, Ethan
hopes that by lending Merit as a bodyguard for their leader
Gabriel Keene, who had been recieving threats, they would
become allies. For Ethan believes that a war is coming to
their city and the weres very well could tip the scale in
their favor. With the sexual tenson heating up with Ethan,
followed by the arrival of one of his old loves, and the
assassination attempt on Gabriel, Merit just may have her
work cut out for her! In Twice Bitten we are pretty much picking up where
Friday Night Bites leaves off. I love this series and
count it in my top fave authors pile. I love Merit and
fell in love with her spirt and sass, and her kick ass
attitude. When you add the sometimes annoying and oh so
sexy Ethan, you have two characters that heat up the pages
with their chemistry. I won't reveal any plots but I will
say what I was wanting to happen, happened!! And then I
will add that it didn't change anything!! All you Merit and
Ethan fans will know what I am talking about! I cannot wait
until book 4 comes out, Hard Bitten in July 2011!! The
downside, I have to wait a year for more Ethan and Merit!!

| SUMMARY |
|
Merit, Chicago’s newest vampire, is learning how to play well with others. Other supernaturals, that is. Shapeshifters from across the country are convening in the Windy City, and as a gesture of peace, Master Vampire Ethan Sullivan has offered their leader a very special bodyguard: Merit. Merit is supposed to protect the Alpha, Gabriel Keene—and to spy for the vamps while she’s at it. Oh, and luckily Ethan’s offering some steamy, one-on-one combat training sessions to help her prepare for the mission. Merit must accept the assignment, even though she knows that she’ll probably regret it. And she’s not wrong. Someone is gunning for Gabriel Keene, and Merit soon finds herself in the line of fire. She’ll need all the help she can get to track down the would-be assassin, but everywhere she turns, there are rising tensions between supernaturals—not least between her and a certain green-eyed, centuries old master vampire.
