"A Vampire Queen story not to be missed!"
Anwyn was a fledgling vampire under the care of Daegan Rei
(older than old) and her human servant Gideon. The fact
that Gideon's brother was with the Lady Lyssa (the oldest
vamp of them all) notwithstanding, Gideon is overwhelmed
being with two vampires. In the past he was a vampire
hunter with thirty--six kills. They all needed to die but of
course the Vampire Council doesn't see it that way. Anwyn, Mistress of the Atlantis fetish club, is plagued by
seizures from the man who changed her - a psychopath named
Barnabus. It is time for her to go before the Council to be
acknowledged as a new vampire, and with the support of
Daegan and Gideon, she feels she is up to the meeting. She isn't up to the thoughts Council has about her servant.
She certainly isn't up to the punishment she must inflict
upon him for his kills. When they discover that two new
Council members are plotting against Daegan they must act
to save him before he, too, is staked! This novel is the best of the series so far. Not for the
faint of heart, it depicts various S/M, bondage, torture
scenes with zest and shows the love that is possible if you
just give yourself to it. An A+++++ story, and the
characters become better each writing. There are a few I'd
like to hear from again, though.
