"Drustan MacKellar is a yummy hero!"
I was lucky enough to receive an ARC of Kiss of the
Highlander by Karen Marie Moning (September 2001). When I
get an ARC this far out, I try to avoid discussing it
until the month prior to its release, but in this case, I
couldn't resist and wanted to share with you what I
thought. I have been a fan of Karen Moning since her first
book, Beyond the Highland Mist, and this book does not
disappoint. In my (humble) opinion, it is her best book
yet. I absolutely loved it!
Drustan MacKellar is rudely awakened from his enchanted
spell by Gwen Cassidy, who falls on top of him when she
plunges down a ravine in modern-day Scotland. He thinks
that she speaks and dresses oddly, but that doesn't stop
him from wanting her. When he finds out what's happened to
him, he enlists her aid in his efforts to return to his own
time. There were a lot of twists and turns in the plot the kept
you guessing. She has a great way with words, and you can
just imagine yourself almost part of the scene she is
describing. Drustan MacKellar is a yummy hero!
Don't miss it!
