Covet is a tantalizing novel that will leave you
wanting for more. In J.R. Ward's first installment of her
Fallen Angels series she takes the term Angel to a whole
new level making the characters cocky, arrogant, tough
talking S.O.B's that take on the world and try to save it
from the seven deadly sins. Jim Heron becomes a fallen angel and is charged with saving
seven people from the seven deadly sins. His first act is
his hardest while he tries to learn the ropes of what it
takes to be an angel and get vengeance on demons and their
actions against humans. A tough talking biker who is used
to getting revenge and killing for a living has to turn a
new leaf and play for the good guys, But that doesn't mean
he has to change his attitude and the way he lives one bit. When he runs into his first human to save, Vincent di
Pietro, he realizes he has his work cut out for him. Vin is
just as hard-ass as he is, except he's got the money to
back himself for his actions, and self proclaimed "better
then you" attitude. Jim tries to help Vin decide his
destiny and which path is right for him to go down,
including making him question the very woman whom he's
with. With evil ready to take his soul, Jim has to work
with Vin to help save himself from the pits of hell and
help him redeem his very soul. Ward keeps you holding on from the very beginning. There is
a lot of action and suspense in this story as you read
about Jim Heron and follow as he grows as a Fallen Angel.
Just like her BDB books, she will have you wanting more in
this new series and falling in love with the Angels. J.R.
Ward's ability to make you feel like you personally know
her characters is undeniable, and keeps you holding on with
each steamy sex scene. She is without a doubt an
exceptionally talented writer when it comes to Paranormal
