"One hot vampire and one tough woman. Big hit for this debut author"
Vampires in America Book One Cynthia or Cyn as she prefers loves her job as a private
investigator, but has become bored with the same cases over
and over again. She wants something more challenging; she
knew when the vampire walked in that this was the case she
had been waiting for. Raphael is known as a Lord and Master to the vampire world,
his word is the law. Of course this makes him an easy
target for his enemies. So, when someone he cares about is
kidnapped he decides to hire a human private investigator to
find the kidnappers. As Cyn and Raphael work together to try and find the people
responsible they both discover a growing attraction between
them, one that Cyn will continue to fight. Raphael will
have her one way or another, becoming a battle between them
to see who will win and will it last once the case is over. In her debut book and beginning of her Vampires in America
Series D.B. Reynolds has a hit, full of suspense, thrills
and romance. Raphael is your typical strong and powerful
vampire but you see a hint of vulnerability in him. Cyn
comes off as a "tough guy" but under it all is a woman who
wants to be loved. The only issue I found was that it
ended, I was ready to keep reading but there was nothing
more to read.
