"Thrilling dark fantasy of good versus evil!"
Leksi Helios can't believe the situation he is in now. After
being captured by four sisters with a well aimed dart and
then drugged with a powerful aphrodisiac, Leksi wakes up to
find himself tied to a bed and being repeatedly raped by the
women with their aunt supervising. Eventually the aunt has
the four sisters leave Leksi and then literally takes
matters into her own hands to relive Leksi's pain. When Lady Kynthia Ancaeus arrives home, she is not exactly
pleased to find the warrior tied to her bed. Once more, her
sisters and Aunt Galatea kidnapped a man for her. Even
though they all know Kynthia has no desire to Join with a
man—ever. Not after she was raped as a child and then sold
to a man she didn't even know by her father and older
brother. Not that the man married her. Oh no, he had no
desire for her, but he did offer her a way to get her
revenge on all men—if she so desired. With her anger fueling
her, Kynthia took Cainer Cree up on his offer and became a
Reaper. In disgust, Kynthia releases the man and bids him
leave. Of course, she never realized he would steal her
horse on his way out. No way was Leksi going to tell anyone what happened to him
once he got back with his troops. When his second-in-command
tells Leksi to return the horse, Leksi reluctantly agrees.
After all, it will give him a chance to see the beautiful
woman who released him once more. For some reason, Leksi has
not been able to get her out of his mind. When the two meet
again, sparks fly between them and they begin to understand
that they were always meant to be together. Before Leksi can
make Kynthia his, they are pulled into a war. And so they
separate to see if they can arrange a treaty between their
countries. Will Leksi and Kynthia have the chance to be together? Will
Kynthia make Leksi a Reaper? Will they make it through the
conflict? Who is behind all the evil? What of Morrigunia?
Will She allow them to interfere with her plans? RAPTURE'S ETESIAN is an exciting fantasy tale of good versus
evil. Charlotte Boyett-Compo comes through once again with a
thrilling story of just how evil some people can be toward
others. We also get to meet Reapers, demons, vampires, the
Amazeen women and Daughters of the Multitude in this story.
With this story, we get a twist with the woman as the
Reaper. I love seeing all the familiar things in every one
of Charlotte Boyett-Compo's stories I read. It's like
meeting friends with each new story. As always, I highly
recommend this story to all lovers of dark fantasy.
