"Adventure, Suspense, and Romance all woven together with Shifters' Lore and Magickal Wizards!"
Damon doesn't remember his past and his future looks bleak.
He can change from a man to a wolf, but he doesn't know if
he was born with the ability or if the GSA did some kind of
experiment that changed him.
He doesn't know whom to trust until he meets Krystal. Krystal is a cop with magickal abilities, one of them being
able to communicate with animals. She's been tracking Peter
Burke, a man who steals, tortures and butchers any form of
canine for food. When Krystal saves a wolf from this
diabolical man, her whole life changes. The GSA (Government Control of Supernatural Activities)
captured Damon once and they are determined to do so again
by using any means at their disposal. Burke joins forces
with them adding his own personal revenge to the mix. Damon and Krystal find their attraction to each other
moving too fast, but tempering their passion appears to be
out of their control. There's a bond, something magical
about their attraction. While they figure out what it could
be, they decide to work together and destroy the illegal
research at GSA, and take down Peter Burke and his evil
doings once and for all. Ms. D'Amario has written a fast-paced and action-packed
paranormal that will keep you scrolling down the pages to
find out what happens next. The sexual tension between
Krystal and Damon is magickal and all so tantalizing. The
tale has something for everyone—adventure, suspense, and
romance all woven together with shifters' lore and magickal
wizards. Her characters come alive, making you care about
what happens to them. This is rare talent and proves Ms.
D'Amario has a little magic of her own. There were a few
teary eyed moments, so be prepared. This is the second story in the series about the Maxey
Wizards. Both tales stand alone, but I feel the reader
would also enjoy Tigress by the Tail with Lance (Krystal's
brother) and Cassie (were-tiger.) This tale has secrets to
solve, suspense and a love story that will leave you
panting for more. Both characters make an appearance in
Lone Wolf, too. Reviewed by: Karen
