"Jessica sees past all the gruff stuff to teach Richard to love"
THE MORE I SEE YOU by Lynn Kurland is a wonderful Time
Travel Romance. Jessica Blakely is a composer in 1999. A
blind date leads her to take a trip to England where she's
unhappy because she hasn't yet met the man she'll love. So
she takes a walk in her host's garden and makes a wish on a
star. Because she's in England she wishes for a fair and
gallant knight, one with lots of chivalry, a steady job,
even temper, has a home large enough for a grand piano, and
she'd like for him to love her at least as much as he loves
himself. Then a mist rolls in and Poof! She's in 1260
England and there are hounds headed towards her. She is
rescued by Richard De Galtres. Richard is the kind of hero that I love. A wounded
warrior, and tortured hero. He was abused by his cruel
father, ran away from home at the age of 12 and ended up
being fostered by Robin de Piaget. He doesn't know how to
smile or love. People fear him and his only friend is
Kendrick de Piaget. He is most definitely a chauvinist,
but he is also chivalrous. He hates the chivalry taught to
him by Robin that causes him to help Jessica because he
just wants to live his own life and be left alone. Its truly a great story. I loved watching Jessica teach
Richard to love. I really like books like this. The hero
barks his orders and everyone rushes to do his bidding.
Then along comes the heroine and she sees past all the
gruff stuff to the good, caring and lonely man inside. She
just simply loves him and that totally knocks him off
balance because no one has ever loved him before. Some of
the scenes made me laugh so hard that I cried. This is really a great read. I absolutely loved it. I've
enjoyed all of Ms. Kurland's books and I love how her
characters intertwine. The More I See You is no
exception. You get to revisit characters from her other
books. I personally think it takes a great talent to
intertwine stories like she does and still each book can
