"a fantastic read!"
Destiny is a person, not a fate and she lives with her
grandmother, Rose, following the tragic deaths of the
family and little brother. Turns out that Rose, while
being a dandy grandma is also the sole proprietor of the
Mystic Cat - a Wicca, new age book and herb shop in
Arcadia, Florida. Trying to cope with the loss of her family is hard enough
but when Destiny finds she had shared some of Rose's talent
in seeing, speaking and helping spirits, enough is enough!
She doesn't want the gift, didn't ask for it and feels it
will just make her stand out more than she already is as
the "new girl in town". She meets Amy Morgan, spoiled little rich girl and her
boyfriend, Jake. Amy immediately sees Destiny as a man-
hunter and Jake sees someone who could be a friend. Jake's
sister is killed in a car accident and Destiny helps him
manage his grief by talking with her. Amy's mother has
decided that she is too old for her Winnie-the-Pooh
furniture and buys her a beautiful, though soot covered,
set from the Internet. This is when everything goes
downhill for the Morgans. When Sarah purchased the
furniture, it came with a few "extras". Haunted Destiny was a fantastic read! I couldn't
stop reading; I read it at work (shhh, don't tell) and
home, in the car - everywhere. If this is Ms. Abell's
first effort I certainly hope it won't be her last. She
has great talent!
