"Lighthearted and sexy"
Wedding planner Laine Malone is a professional, letting
nothing ruffle her feathers during even the most taxing of
weddings. But lately her control is slipping, and
bridezillas, touchy-feely grooms and cancelled weddings are
all taking a toll on her composure and her job. Her latest
problem wedding has become even more of a problem -- on top
of everything else, she also has to deal with hotel owner
Jason Henley's advances. Fighting him off can be tricky,
since she's attracted to him. With his romantic past, Jason Henley is wary of romance.
But he's not looking for romance with Laine, the feisty
wedding planner who plans all the weddings at his hotel.
Sure, he's attracted to her, but in a no-strings-attached
kind of way. And an abandoned wedding cake -- the remains
of an imploded wedding -- suddenly becomes the perfect
setting for him to act on that attraction. What neither of them counted on was having their lust morph
into something else. I enjoyed this book. It was lighthearted and sexy, with
entertaining characters. It had a good pace, and I finished
the book much faster than I thought I would. I would've
liked to have seen some scenes expanded with more detail,
but overall I thought it was a good book. I will definitely
be looking for more books by this author.
