"Scorching hot beginning to the Gathering series"
Neecy is the second in command of the Crows, a group of
female warriors serving a Norse goddess. She's strong,
snarky, intelligent, and has a thing for the incredibly
sexy Will Yager. Will, the leader of the Ravens who are
loyal Viking warriors for Odin, is attracted to Neecy, but
she appears cold and standoffish to his fellow Ravens.
Like other Vikings, Will is stubborn and knows that Neecy
burns bright under her façade, so he pursues her
relentlessly. While Neecy dodges Will's increasingly
annoying, but strangely adorable, seduction, she is faced
with the hardest trial of her life. She must protect the
Crows from a new threat and attempt to maintain her distant
from Will. I loved every page of this book! Neecy is the perfect
heroine: hard, smart, and knows how to deal with difficult
people. Then, I felt in love with Will as he is tall,
sexy, and a bit geeky. They are the perfect couple, as is
evident that everyone around them already knows, of course
except for Neecy and Will. The dramatic portions of the storyline play a minor roll in
the plot at the beginning, but become more important
towards the end. Also, these dramatic portions set up
potential continuations of the story, especially since some
chapters were told in the perspectives of secondary
characters. Hunting Season will endear you towards these
hardened warriors quickly. I laughed, I worried, and I was
in desperate need of a fan during some of the more
scorching hot scenes. I great book and I impatiently wait
for more.
