"3 Barrett Brothers discover Maddalyn asleep in Eric's bed (the one thats just right)"
I really like these Fairy Tale books. I like the way they
work the actual fairy tale into the story. The story
itself was a pretty good historical and you got three love
stories in it. But even more, I loved how the little bits
of the actual fairy tale are in the story. Now I'm
reading Jackie and the Giant by Linda Jones too. Several of
the fairy tale books are by other authors and I'm going to
try one of the other author's fairy tales and see if they
incorporate the fairy tale as well as Linda Jones does. SOMEONE'S BEEN SLEEPING IN MY BED is a Faerie Tale
Romance. Maddalyn Kelly is a golden haired woman who
always wanted her own family. She was headed to Sheridan
to start a new life as a school teacher when her stage was
robbed and she saw people killed. She manages to escape
into the mountains of Wyoming where she see's the three
Barrett Brothers leaving their cabin. She's scared and
hungry so once she's sure they're gone she sneaks into
their cabin where she finds three bowls of stew. One has
too much pepper, one has too much salt, and one is just
right. She doesn't want to steal but she feels because
she's hungry its o.k. She also finds the three chairs and
the three beds, one too hard, one too lumpy and one just
right. The Barrett Brothers are three fascinating men. There's
Karl, who is the largest of the group at over six and a
half feet. He's a quiet, gentle man. He's in love with a
woman named Daisy, but he's never spoken to her. Then
there's Conrad, the second and the shortest at just over
six feet. He's the prankster and he loves any and all
redheads. Then there's the baby brother, Eric. He's been
hurt bad by a "lady", and he's sure no "lady" could live on
his mountain. The Barretts discover Maddalyn asleep in Eric's bed (the
one thats just right). They take her in because there's a
snow storm and she cooks and sews and basically finds the
family that she's always wanted. Karl and Conrad can tell
there's feelings between her and Eric. So they play the
protective big brothers to her. Maddalyn helps get Karl
and Daisy together and finds Conrad his redhead. But as
much as she comes to love Eric she doesn't think he's going
to love her. Eric falls in love with Maddalyn but he doesn't want to be
hurt again. However, this is a Faerie Tale so you get
three happy endings. There's some great scenes between the
brothers and watching Eric come to terms with his love for
Maddalyn and letting go of the pain in his past. I love
the way the Fairy Tale is interwoven. Sheila Bragg © Copyright October 1999 for eBOOKISLE.com &
