"Go Superheroes!"
A member of the Elite Hands of Justice superhero team,
Mindy, also known as Tekgrrl, doesn't have any real super
powers, except her phenomenal alien-enhanced intellect. Set
her up with an advanced laboratory and she'll pump out
incredible high-tech gear any superhero would love to have
in his arsenal. Except someone's messing with Mindy's mind, in her head,
manipulating her dreams and worse, a freaky voice keeps
talking to her. This wasn't exactly the kind of superpowers
she'd hoped for. Tekgrrl is a fun second installment in the not so
average lives of superheroes, following on the clever heels
of Phenomenal Girl 5. At times it reads like a soap opera
with all the angst and love triangles within the Elite
Hands of Justice, but hey, who else is a super heroine
supposed to have a relationship with? And I must admit it
was enjoyable to see quirky free-spirited Tekgrrl melt the
rigid tow-the-line exterior of the EHJ's stuffy leader...and
save the world while she's at it.

Sometimes turning thirty can be alien.
When she was 12, Mindy asked to go to The School like other gifted girls. Her parents sent her to another planet. Today Mindy's back on Earth. She's a mechanical genius with the Elite Hands of Justice, America's premier superhero squad. She's been having headaches though, and it's not just because her longtime crush is flirting with another teammate. It's not because she's pushing thirty. It's also not because of the contrary actions of former teammate Simon Leasure. No, what's burning her brain is a past she can't remember, a past that's been erased. It's a memory surging closer - in flying saucers. Her worst nightmare is returning big time and only she, her friends, and her one true love can stop it.
