"A wild crazy ride that won't be forgotten!"
Tax time is the busiest time of the year for an accountant
and Victoria Slater is no different. As deadlines loom, her
world is turned upside down by pranks that make her the
laughing stock of the neighborhood. She's certain her
nemesis Christian Taylor is behind them, and does her level
best to get even with him. For the first time in her life,
her crush notices her, but she can't stop thinking about
the man who lives next door. Christian has loved Victoria since high school. He had
never worked up the nerve to ask out the beautiful woman.
When things start going awry at Victoria's, he's determined
to help her get to the bottom of things. Soon he finds
himself cuffed at the ankles to the woman he desires more
than life itself to prove to her once and for all that he
didn't pull any pranks on her. Victoria is my kind of girl; she doesn't get mad she gets
even. What I liked most about her is that she's prompted by
her internal fears and often irrational trains of thought.
She can stand on her own two feet, drive like a demon, and
still jump in fear of a tiny pink mouse. Jennifer Loy
didn't just create a character in this book; she created
every woman rolled into one. From start to finish the pace of this book is rapid. Every
page brings a new level of intensity to the desire between
Christian and Victoria. The heat sizzles from the first
kiss to the last all within perfect comedic timing that had
me laughing out loud on many occasions. Ms. Loy has an
incredible sense for when to add that next humorous moment.
If you are looking for a fast fun read, There Goes The
Neighborhood by Jennifer Loy will leave you breathless,
either from the heat between the pages, or the sheer amount
of laughing you'll do.
