a beautiful and desirable woman. Avani is halfway to falling in love with Rais, her uncle's
protegee, when they meet again in the temple; where she is
a novice, still untouched by a warrior's need. And she
can't stop her body from responding to Rais, while hoping
that she could have more with him. But what she wants is so
different from what Rais is willing to give... Hot and engaging, I can't stop turning the pages to see
what comes of Avani. A heroine who knows her own mind,
Avani may be innocent in the ways of men, but she knows
what she wants and not even the king's son can stop her.
Oh, and yes, there's a sexy bondage scene too, and
chemistry between the main characters sizzles to the point
to make one purr. There are some interesting secondary characters, too, like
Zahra, whom I'm sure we'll see as a heroine in one of the
next books. I enjoyed this book so much that I'll be
looking forward to the next books in the series. I do wish
though that some things could've have been explained, like
why is there a war being fought with the humans. Also, at
first, I thought the characters were humans, until
said war with the enemy was mentioned. In this light, I
believe the story could be improved if the author could
give an explanation on what the characters are (I think
they're werewolves), and how they come to live with the
humans and the reason for the war.
