"Nice mercenary meets Lion - magic bites!"
Kate Daniels had enough going on before her guardian was
killed. Now she is under contract to the Order of Knights
of Merciful Aid to find the killer. She is also caught up
in a battle between the Atlanta Vampires and the
Shapechangers. One of the vamps has gone renegade and
kidnapped her "assistant" Derak. They are holding him until
Kate and Curran, Beast Lord and head of the shapechangers
fight the vamp. Someone is playing games and making both sides think the
other one is guilty. Thirteen girls are missing, presumed
dead and it would have been best had they really been.
What Kate and Curran find is bad at best and horrendously
perverted at worst. Bono, vamp gone bad and perpetrator of
all the issues; wants Kate as his mate and wants Curren
dead. Very dead. Tune in to the first of the Magic series by Ilona Andrews.
You won't be disappointed and there are two more following
this one. Each better than the last.
