helps her scratch her itch. Landon may want her, but Ava
knows it won't last, especially as he has to choose a mate
who is the strongest and fastest lioness in the pride to be
able to lead the Hunt and rule in his absence, all the
things that she is not. As a beta lioness, Ava is the type to surrender to what the
fates have ordained for her, yet she plucks up her courage
to go after the man she wants, even if it's just for a
night. She also hates confrontations, yet she doesn't
hesitate to jump into danger when the one she loves is
threatened. Ava is the perfect example of a person who is
able to tap deep into herself and calls on reserves of
power when the situation calls for it. And Landon is yummy,
the quintessential alpha male who is felled by the one
woman meant to be his mate. Chemistry sizzled between the
two, and the love scenes are hot and full of tension--the
good kind. This is one story that I wished could go on forever--a
short, sexy read that goes down like hot ice cream. Will
there be a sequel, Ms. Andrews? While I wait, I think I'll
go look up her other books. If they're as good as this one,
Ms. Andrews will be on my auto-buy list.
