"True Love Will Have it's Way, No Matter the Obstacles"
It is 2020 and the world is a very different place. Jensen
Black is in charge of the newly remodeled Alcatraz prison
and all of those housed within its walls. When normally
peaceful prisoners begin to die suddenly and horrifically,
Jensen is forced to consider the inevitable: the ghosts of
the legendary Alcatraz are back to avenge the misery they
suffered.
Parapsychologist Dr. Brian Phipps is called in to determine
what the danger is in the notorious prison. Jensen is
immediately drawn to Dr. Phipps' lovely body and jewel-like
eyes, and finds it rather hard to concentrate on the
haunting at his prison. But the prisoners keep suffering
and soon Brian is so heavily involved in the danger, Jensen
wonders if his new lover will survive.
Carol Lynne brings to us a world where an incredible 20% of
the male population is homosexual. I was at first taken
aback by the complete lack of female characters (although
one makes an appearance later on as a nurse) but soon I
found myself cheering for Brian and Jensen and looking
forward to the private time they spent together.
The love story develops quickly, sometimes a little too
quickly, but Ms. Lynne has quite an imagination. The ghost
legends are well written and well formed. The characters
are flawed, yet likeable and the sex scenes are steaming
hot.
All in all, GHOSTS OF ALCATRAZ is a fast but entertaining
read. If you need sexy men and scenes that will have you
hot and bothered, it is definitely a must read for long
summer afternoons.
