"A ghostly story with a twist"

John Carson, finding himself dead after being run through with a Union soldier's bayonette, has only one desire.... to be reunited with the man and woman he loves. So, refusing to move on, he makes his way back to the ranch.

Michael loves Amber and is willing to give up everything to make her happy. Even giving her up to another man.

Etienne D'Artagnan tells a poignant story of love and loss. This is the first I've read by him and his characters just drew me in. It was a pleasure reading about sex from a man's point of view. But more than that, he just tells a really good story. From the first page you're caught up in the story, wanting what the main character wants. The surprise ending was terrific. All in all a great short story.

The old cook told them ghost stories when they were kids. Now John intends to find out if one of the old tales is true. He's dead and he doesn't want to go through eternity without his best friends and lovers, Michael and Amber. His unfinished business sets off a plan that will change them all forever.

Michael and Amber have their own plans though, and they need John to complete them. But will their plans and John's blow up in their faces or will everything work out for them to be together forever?
