"Sometimes Love Deserves a Second Chance!"
Frankie Suchet works as a bartender at the trendiest gin
joint in San Francisco called Ozone. Bartending is a good
job for a vampire, which Frankie just so happens to be; you
get to work nights. Being a vampire is something Frankie
can't escape, no matter how much she wants to. If she was
ever granted one wish, and she had nightdreamed about it
enough to know what that wish would be, it would be to go
back in time to when she was turned and kill her maker.
Her hatred of Henri Foucault spans two centuries, for after
he made her, he abandoned her without a word, never to be
seen again. After meeting a much older vampire named
Donnatella while bartending one night, Frankie's wish is
granted. She is able to travel back in time to France 1794,
and to the moment when she first met Henri. But
becoming "Francoise" again means she has lost all memory of
the dangers that she faces by getting close to Henri. As
history repeats itself, Francoise is drawn to Henri yet
again. With their mutual attraction growing, time is
running out for Francoise. Will she choose the same path
that leads to her unwilling change into a vampire or will
she choose to make a new path with Henri? Ms. Squires has been capturing our attention with her
companion series, and delivers once again a tale of true
love and dark vampires! Very well written and as always
entertaining, she caught my attention and kept it till the
end. For readers who like very graphic writing and
endearing characters who make you think, this series is for
you. Ms. Squires pulls you into her story and makes you
believe in true love with a dark edge. A novel to savor,
not rush through, great job and can't wait to read more!
