After arriving in Arcadia a little over a year ago, Talia

remembers is waking in a hospital wrapped in bandages.
After spending a month in the hospital she was released and
has attempted to go on with her life. She keeps having
these recurring dreams of a tall dark stranger. Selling
her paintings at the Kane Art Gallery, she is about to
unveil her latest work. At her showing she meets Lucas
Knight, a mysterious man new to town. Unbelievably it is
the man of her dreams. Thus things are set in motion that
has Talia struggling to discover who she is. Who can she
turn to? Her mentor Victor Kane, or the stranger who she is
drawn to in ways she does not understand. When a murder
happens in town, Talia soon discovers that the life she
can't remember could kill her. Carol A. Guy has won herself a new fan! Shifter stories are
my favorite reads, so I know what I am talking about. This
is very well written, with an intriging plot that has smart
and capable characters. You felt Talia's confusion and
struggle with not remembering her past life. You cheered
for Victor Kane, her mentor and friend. And you lusted
after Lucas Knight. A gripping read you won't want to put
down till the end!

Amnesia victim, Talia Coe, has found the perfect haven in the small Pennsylvania town of Arcadia. She lives a quiet life, immersing herself in her art, thanks to her mentor, local art gallery owner, Victor Kane. But Caroline Thomas, Victor's lover, suspects there is more to the relationship. Driven by jealousy, she enlists the aid of local reporter, Craig Lynch, in finding out who Talia is and how she ended up in Arcadia. Talia craves peace and quiet, but is plagued by dreams of a mysterious man, whose presence stirs up uncertainty and fear inside of her. One night during an art show at the Kane Gallery, the man of her dreams appears, shaking her to the core and setting in motion a series of events that will redefine what and who she is.
