"something dark and sinister is watching..."
All his life, Fallon feels that Darmetheus killed their
sister, though he knows that wasn't exactly the case. It
has been his life's work to get back at his brother, father
and the rest of their clan. What happened was a long time
ago, eons, in fact. Darmetheus is now an Eternal, helping humans overcome
danger from things just like his younger brother has
become. When he takes a ride into Colorado to get some
space and clear his head; he feels something is there,
watching him and the rest of the town. He could feel something watching him, something dark and
sinister. Looking around, perplexed, Darmetheus was stunned
to recognize the scent of werewolf. But it wasn't one of
his own. This scent was not an Eternal. It was twisted and
malicious. There was more than one of them. And they were
bearing down on him. He soon finds out that quite a few young women are missing
from the area when he lands on Lilith's porch, up in the
evergreens. Lilith, too, feels threatened but isn't exactly
sure why. As things progress, so do Lilith and Darmetheus,
and they band together with other Eternals and druids to
battle the demon forces led by Fallon. This was a dandy book! Betrayal, love, lust, vampires,
druids and demons (oh! MY!!). All the characters fell
right into place and you can bet that I'll be looking for
more to read by Ms. Darke!
