"A passionate love that transcends death"
Recently divorced from an abusive husband, Paige moves into
a new house on the coast. Soon she realizes that she is
not the only occupant of the house. The former owner, Ian,
was killed in his bed and trapped as a ghost in the house
until his unknown destiny is fulfilled. Paige and Ian
become lovers, entering into a relationship that bridges
the living realm with that of the dead. Unfortunately,
Paige's ex-husband is stalking her and Ian is concerned for
her well-being, but can he protect her? Paige and Ian are both interesting characters, but I felt
Ian was one-dimensional. Although I thought some of the
reasoning behind Paige's feelings, especially for her ex-
husband, were unusual, I could understand her most of the
time. On the other hand, Ian seemed liked he was simply
there, not playing much role except as the ghost and
lover. The ex-husband was written well and easily hated. I did not expect the end. Sometimes this is good, but at
times, like this instance, I do not feel an unexpected
ending was the way this story should conclude. Overall, the story was entertaining with few slow
portions. Although I did not think the motivations of the
characters were completely believable, this book was a
quick read and passionate, earning a few bleary eye moments
from this reviewer.
